is the chevy equinoz 2010 model ok.i see a lot of bad reviews on them once they get a few miles on them

Read any review on any vehicle and there will be bad reviews. Some more than others. If this is the vehicle you want, then buy it and maintain it. Use the reviews as a basis on what you are getting into. I found more people will complain and post negative reviews on a vehicle vs positive ones.
