Hello have an 09 Jetta TDI. It's time to change the rear brake pads on it. This is a no brainer since I have worked on cars all my life. Only thing is, rumor control says you need a computer to retract the calipers? Any truth to this statement.Thanks Dan

just do it the old way with a screw clamp?

You do not need computer the do rear brakes .that screw clamp will work but you must turn the caliper piston clock wise as you twist and push the piston in
