No brake lights
Another car backed into rear of my car and now no
brake lights, very soft hit, all bulbs are good as the
fuses any ideas where to look for problem
Check the fuses first, it is possible that a filament briefly touched another circuit or a ground inside the bulb and popped a fuse, you really need to look at the lamps just too make sure you don't have a crosscircuited bulb, it's real easy too miss one.
Thanks for the response, I've checked fuses twice and bulbs. To the untrained eye they look good. It was a very gentle tap, no scratches. Read a lot about brake switch underneath pedal but seems like it would have to be something with wire maybe coming loose but can't find one anywhere
You may have to gat a test light and check to see if the brake light switch has power too it and if the pedal is pushed that the power flows the switch, if it does then your in for a wiring tracing trip. As this happened right after the tap look underneath in the rear and see if the rear harness came unplugged. If not then the circuit will have to be traced.
