Wiring or fuse

Check the positive side of the connection at the tail lights with a multi meter. If no voltage move the negative terminal to a non painted portion of the vehicle. If you get voltage the problem is with a ground.

Could be in the steering column. Blinker switch? I know that the tilt column, being moved up and down a lot, plus the shifter,if it's a automatic the overdrive wires as well as the rest of the wiring become broken in the column.... your / my OD wouldn't work the truck felt like it was fishhooking... couldn't decide what gear to stay in... it was in the shifting lever... it gave me light problems as well... check grounding..then you might want to look in that column... hope this helps...
