there is no such thing on dodge. turn the steering wheel as hard as you can in the direction the wheels are pointing and hold it there while you turn the key. should free it up.

Just had the ignition key lock up here’s what I did and it worked. In the fuse box relay number 75 which is an ignition relay I wiggled it and it freed up the ignition key and the engine started. Next time I tried It was locked up again. So I wiggled again and it did work. This went on and on yes/no for about 20 minutes. So tomorrow morning I’m off to the Dodge garage to buy a new relay. I figure if that doesn’t work must be in the wiring leading to the fuse box. 2011 Dodge ram Dakota six cylinder. I started checking all the ignition fuses which were about six in number and then went to the relays which were two or three. The last relay I checked, number 75, was where I found the issue could be solved. It was easy. Fuse box is under the hood driver side.

Just had issue with my 03 and all it needed was a new lock cylinder but to get it moving take a hard object and hit key with a bit of force a few times while its in ignition then it should turn for you pull wheel as you turn key
