The best way to rethread a bolt in the torque converter

I over torqued the torque  converter and stripped it . Do I have to remove it to repair it

Nope .. get a HeliCoil kit ... in some cases they are stronger than the original ~~ http://www.handsontools.com/HeliCoil-5521-6-Coarse-Thread-Repair-Kit--38-16-x-562_p_9179.html
