Have a 2009 gmc z71 crew cab and is in limp mode and need to know how to fix it

You might take the positive cable off for about ten minutes,may reset,make sure key is not in truck when you do this,if this doe,s not work,may have to go have it cleared by dealer,or maybe some parts store,s.
