Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Started truck, no guages. Restarted truck, no guages. Drove to dealership and they shut truck off and restarted and they worked.Hasn't happened since, but I notice that sometimes Battery indicator is around 11/12 and other times it's at 15/16. Could there be a short or charging issue ???

next time this happens hit the dash real hard if they come back on then you probably need new cluster or rebuitl

Or test the battery voltage. When the battery starts to lose power the vehicle will shut down accessories so the battery can last longer and get you closer to your destination. The dash lights and guages are one of the first to go. Some go as far as having the trans go into limp in mode and leave the trans in second gear. Don't hit your dash the plastic is crazy brittle in the cold
