No heat in Jeep Grand Cherokee

Asked by Jul 16, 2017 at 04:02 AM about the 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The issue I'm having is that I have no heat coming
out of my vents. Adjusting air from down by my feet
to my face or even defrosts works fine. So does the
A/C, actually the air feels cold even when a/c is
turned off there's a slight temperature difference,
I've noticed at night when driving I'm getting a lot of
condensation  And or moisture on my windows.
And when I turn on the defrosters it pushes even
more condensation to the point I gotta use my
wipers just so wipe em off. Any ideas what it could
be?

Does your car have a temperature gauge on the instrument cluster? Is it on the low side? Could be a stuck open thermostat. Is the coolant level ok? FYI: To rid the windshield of condensation on the outside of the vehicle when it is warm, you run the heat on low and use your wipers. You don't want to use the A/C, it will only make it worse.

I know I shouldn't run a/c on along with wipers to get rid of condensation... I have no heat to get rid of the condensation and when I turn defrosters on and low heat The air is blowing out like a/c cold air but the a/c is not on. My Jeep is causing the extra condensation build up. I topped off my coolant haven't checked the thermostat.

And my temperature gauge on the instrument cluster reads normal
