2009 Dodge Charger won't start.

Asked by 1bdpony Jun 30, 2016 at 12:11 PM about the 2009 Dodge Charger SE RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2009 Dodge Charger, 2.7 L engine.  The car won't start.  Replaced the battery, had alternator tested and it's fine.  All the dash lights come on, the radio comes on; however, the car won't start.  Also the key fob won't unlock the doors.  The car will start with a jump.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds like ur battery is weak. Make sure it's fully charged. If battery is good, check battery cables for corrosion. If it starts when u jump it, it's strictly battery or cables related

It might be the chip in the key. Or it might be the part you put the key in. I have the same model i was having similar issues when i had a old key. When i replaced the key everything worked out. Hope that helps
