i bought a used 2005 ford escape 3.0 liters. the total mileage is 32000. can this be true or it has been tempered with. again why is it that cars from Canada are full of rust?

If the odometer wasn't tampered with, then it's probably true, get a CARFAX if you can to verify. Canada uses a lot of salt on their roads in the winter time, accelerating the rust.
