I have a 2009 Toyota Sienna XLE Van 3.5/A5 FWD VIN 5TDZK22C29S233585. Should it have a spare tire?

The dealer told me that AWD vehicles do not come with a spare tire and that
if you get a blowout you are just supposed to drive on the rim to the next
service station?  Is that true?  I have a FWD and he said that it should have
a spare tire - ours did not when we bought it - we discovered the hard way
when we had a blowout on the interstate.  I'm really confused why there
would be a place for a spare tire under the van but they intentionally would
not put one there. Thanks for your response.

That is a dumb thing for someone to tell you to do . I would just put a spare in my car that way you have one if you need it. Do not drive on the rem of any car you can start a fire.then how would you feel.?

REdICULOUS !!! for what we pay for cars demand a full spare!!!! That's y they get away with it people blindly accept not getting one DON'T!!!
