Hello. I have a 2017 Jeep Patriot and been having problems since I bought it last August. I’ve been to 3 different dealers and they keep fixing things and the Jeep still doesn’t work. I am having the same problems I are having where u turn the key and it will not start. I was stuck in a hote parking lot over 3 hours one day. I am doing a lemon law so I can get out of this patriot. My advice is file for a lemon law too since the dealer can’t stand behind what they are selling and Chrysler won’t help u.

1. BAD AUTO SHUT-DOWN RELAY - OMRON# G8HE-1C7T-R1-DC12 / 2361A13 Mine at 120K miles was hard starting one day, then a few days later just cranked without starting. There is a relay box buried underneath the battery where it can be found, according to my mechanic. Jeep starts fine after relay was replaced. Hope this helps someone... 2. Ok, just did some digging, apparently Jeep has a class action law suit against them for faulty electrical. Here's what I found:A no crank or no start condition may develop due to electronic lockup of the wireless control module (WCM), also referred to as the Sentry Key Remote Entry Module (SKREEM). When this module fails the remote keyless entry system will also not operate. The WCM is commonly replaced to correct this concern. There was another electrical issue with the TIP module. If you have to replace that it's like $1200 bucks. I think the WCM is about $260 to replace...... 3. Forgot to mention that if you have a key with a chip in it, that may also be the problem. I have heard that they can build up static on the key and the computer can't read it. Try touching the key to metal before starting the Jeep. See if that works....... 4. Below is from a manual listed for 2014/2016 units, not sure if this will apply to your vehicle. The Sentry Key REmote Entry Module (SKREEM) (3) (also known as the Sentry Key Immobilizer Module/SKIM or the Wireless Control Module/WCM) is the primary component of the Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS). It is also the receiver for the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system and the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) system. The SKREEM is located on the right side of the steering column near the ignition lock cylinder housing and is concealed beneath the column shrouds. The molded black plastic housing for the SKREEM has an integral molded plastic halo-like antenna ring (1) that extends from one side. When the SKREEM is properly installed, the antenna ring is oriented around the circumference of the ignition lock cylinder housing. A single integral connector receptacle (4) is located adjacent to the antenna ring on the SKREEM housing. An integral molded plastic mounting tab (2) on the SKREEM housing has a hole in the center through which a screw passes to secure the unit to the steering column lock housing. The SKREEM is connected to the vehicle electrical system through a single take out and connector of the instrument panel wire harness. The SKREEM cannot be adjusted or repaired. If ineffective or damaged, the entire SKREEM unit must be replaced.
