Kelly, the video shows the trans for a newer Escape, I think 2008 and up. If the 2005 Escape is an automatic, there isn't a serviceable filter on the CD4E transmission. You can remove the drain plug and 4 qts will come out. Reinstall and top off through transmission dipstick tube with Dex/Merc. Do this multiple times if the fluid hasn't been change recently.
