My truck shut off on the freeway than I
noticed all the oil leaked out from the looks
of it its coming from the back of the engine
help please its an 2009 Lt 4wd Chevy

Oil coming from the back of the engine, is either the oil pressure sending unit...or a problem with the oil filter, or the rear main seal on the crankshaft. The engine shut off due to lack of oil pressure. That was a good thing.

If all the oil suddenly leaked out it could be catastrophic engine failure causing a hole in the block. Did it make any unusual noises just prior to it shutting down? Could also be a hole in the oil pan caused by running over a piece of derbris or could be what Rowefast posted.
