Sounds like a problem with the security system. I'd take it to your local Mercedes Dealer for diagnosis and repair. HTH. -Jim

You could try a new battery for the key fob, or try another key.

I have the exact same problem mines the same year and it wont turn over and it says remove key. If you figure it out please post it here.

Also it I put it on my diagnostic tool and it said nothing was wrong with the car. what?????

I found out that the problem was with a steering lock. I took it to the specialist and they changed it.

How much was it to fix it?

About $900.00

But not in the dealer shop. They will charge more. This was the body shop who has special license for Mercedes alarm system. Per my understanding steering lock is a part of alarm system.
