where is the 4 wheel drive button on a 2005 escape

4 or all wheel drive button on 2005 escap-e lxs

There is none, the 2005 Escape is AWD. It's all computer controlled by using the input from the ABS wheel sensors. The vehicle is FWD until wheel slippage is detected and the rear wheels are engaged.

if you would have read the manual, or if u didn't see a switch u should have used your head and realized it was AWD

The problem with "read the manual" is that not everyone has one, especially if they got the vehicle used. The dash also has an emblem that says "4WD". I don't know the correct terminology, but it does engage all 4 wheels, and you will briefly see "4WD" light up on the dash lights when it does.

Wow Mark that was uncalled for not everyone is as smart as you when it comes to cars. Next time I will use my head and not use this site again. I knew it was awd I just thought there maybe a back up switch to turn it on and off. Thanks for having your head up your ass
