2009 impala wont start after cleaning battery connectiins

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

cleaned the battery terminal on my 2009 chevy impala
and now it wont turn over the key fob wont lock or
unlock the doors i tried a key relearn proccess but that
didnt work please any help would be greatly
appreciated......jason

Check you owners manual about battery replacement, see if there is a statement about using a saver tool before disconnecting the battery. Some do some don't. What happens is the factory presets are lost when the battery is disconnected and the only way to get them back is to take it to the dealer and have it reflashed to your VIN. Every tool box should have one of these.

yeah i checked the manual and said nothing about using the tool but i have read other posts saying the memory has probably been erased because i didnt use one so i guess ill wait till monday and call a dealer i cant believe GM has there ecm setup this way what if your battery dies by leaving your lights on then you have to have your car towed to the dealer what a jip
