Well I have 2009 Chevy impala and recently had
battery problems,got a jump one day.The radio
was working before the jump but after the
jump,now my radio only show the display time.The
volume button not work, no sound from
speaker,and the CD player not working?? Can I fix
it on my own the real question???

It is possible that the body control computer lost the radio presets, you could try disconnecting a battery cable and wait at least 30 seconds and then reconnecting it to see if it will go back to factory presets. Note doing this will reset all of the electronics on the vehicle and may cause the anti thieft system to activate so make sure you know how to turn it off before disconnecting the battery, if it does work you will also have to drive the car around for about 20 to 30 minutes so it can finish it's relearn protocols, so it may run and perform differently until it has completed the protocol. If that doesn't work then a dealer will have to reflash the computer system, bummer I know. HTH

OH THE GOOD OLD DAYS BEFORE COMPUTERS.

It is weird but it was a loose connection. In the past an alternater would run everything and now a bad connection and the radio doesn't come on.
