I have a 2009 Chevy impala when I move one of the heating gauges from hot to cold or vice versa on the passenger side it starts clicking loudly for a minute then it stop it do it ever time I move it
Sounds like you electronically operated blend doors. The clicking you are hearing is the little plastic gear. It will probably strip itself out soon. When you can no longer go from hot to cold, you will have to dismantle the dash in order to replace the broken gear. Since it's going to be hot soon, I would leave it on cool.
Good news! Did some video surfing and found out the the actuators are behind the glove box. Here's the video................................................. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FYzK-kS-Ww
