Re 2009 Hummer H3
My question was not answered. I can check to see percentage of ethanol in reg, hi-reg
and super...but mi per gallon is not the issue...what is meant by 'bad for the engine.'
Not sure what article your read. I know some people think running ethanol is "bad" and trying to ruffle a few feathers. Fact of the matter is when you get to the pumps what is available to you is what you get. The government is pushing the use of ethanol in gasoline nowadays in the US. Just put the required octane in your hummer and don't worry about it.
By 2009 most engines can burn the current fuel mix rather well, so the "bad for engine" will not apply for your rig. As per Federal regulations the amount of ethanol in the fuel must be posted on the pump as well as the octane rating, so do as Tom stated and put in what is required and stop worrying about it.
