What in the World???

Asked by Jan 01, 2013 at 08:18 PM about the 2009 Ford Escape Limited V6 4WD

Question type: General

Why did the Car Gurus team deem a headshot of me and my husband (see picture below) sitting on the couch as
"inappropriate?"

Picture seems fine to me. Maybe it was because under "about me" you talk about selling your vehicle. Parts of it sound like a classified ad. Maybe that's what the problem was. Even so that should have been explained to you & your husband. HTH. - Jim

Thanks, Jim. Yeah, I thought about the possibility that I wasn't supposed to mention the vehicle, but then, that is what I use the site for. I am buying a car from the site and I am selling a car on the site, so I am not sure what I should say. Is this site more of a social network site, like FB? Maybe I misunderstood, and should just stick to what I know (eBay and Autotrader.com). But, I still don't think the picture was inappropriate in any way. What a strange experience!!

Thanks for the best answer. Don't be discouraged. You can easily post a classified ad for your vehicle on this site. Remember, an expert at anything was once a beginner & made mistakes. I know I have. This site is very fun. Don't miss out! -Jim

Car Gurus apologized this morning and said it was a mistake. Thanks for all of your suggestions.
