K+N or Vararam cold air induction is your easiest 20+ HP mod. Forget about performance chips, there really isn't anything on the market for your car that works. JBA Performance makes headers for around $500. You can add an inexpensive CAT-back dual exhaust for about $350 from SLP Performance. The crappy Bosch computer in your car is going to prevent you from doing anything radical to the engine.
