why does it take so long for my 09 saturn vue to warm up as for the heater

Question type: General

i will start my car usually 15 minutes before i leave so the heater will be nice
and warm when i get ready to leave it isnt it still blowing cold air almost all the
way to where im going

Could be a stuck open thermostat so the engine never gets fully warmed up, would be very noticeable in cold climates.
