What causes White smoke to emit from the exhaust when starting my 2009 Acura RDX turbo?
A flume of white smoke comes from the exhaust when starting a cold engine of my 2009 Acura RDX turbo.
I would suspect your turbo or head gasket is failing. Since its only at startup, I would lean more towards the turbo. This should not happen on a vehicle this new unless its been neglected or abused.
After having it checked by a reputable service center I received the answer. First was a radiator filled with rusty water, then a bad #1 valve guide/seal and like Mike said, A bad turbo. All caused from frying the engine...
Sorry to hear that. I am glad you posted your findings for others to see though. How many miles were on the car/engine?
