2009 Pontiac G6 GXP-Autozone replaced my battery the other day. As soon as I started it up my ac would not work at all! No air is blowing out and the ac/heat display is not lit up.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Dealership said it was a shorted hvac/battery
fuse, want to recalibrate the actuator and
clear dtcs.  Total cost $357.  I took the car
back to autozone for them to replace the
fuse and they said the fuse is fine.  They said
sometimes when you replace a battery the
ac needs to be left in the "on" position or
else they system will need to be reset.  I'm
not sure who to believe and cannot imagine
if it is a fuse paying $357.  Can anyone shed
some light on this situation?  My ac worked
perfectly before!

Remove the hvac/battery fuse then disconnect the battery for about a minute, then reinstall the fuse and reconnect the battery. let the car run for a minute or so, then shut the car or for no more then 15 seconds. Restart the engine...
