Need help A.S.A.P

Asked by Edith Sep 03, 2016 at 06:22 PM about the 2009 Pontiac G5 Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Engine light came on, took the car to autozone to
get the diagnostics and they said it was the
cooling fan relay "control circuit malfunction" the
guy switched it out and disconnected the battery.
The car was fine and the. Light came off, but came
back on when I got out of work. Could it be that the
guy put it in incorrectly? Or the relay was
bad/used?

could have been a bad relay, or that that engine code has multiple diagnosis, ie it may show the relay as 1 possible solution... it could also be a wiring issue, or a problem with the actual electric fan.
