other day and noticed my red plastic piece that
covers my positive hook up for jumper cables was
broken off (if not enough detail can send pic) after
searching and searching google and other sites I
had no luck with finding replacements I need help
with figuring out the nape of the piece and where I
can order a replacement (if possible) Thank you.

Check with your local BMW dealer parts department. Is this what you are looking for?....https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-bmw- parts/cover/61136929761/

No it's red it's also under the hood can't upload picture but when you go to jump-start you flip it down and there is the metal that you clamp the positive jump cable to. So it covers the positive hookup.

Here's a picture I found online on this page on the right side of picture close to the top you'll see the red plastic piece https://en.wheelsage.org/bmw/5series/e60- e61/67042/67026/9953/exact/pictures/409211/

I'll say it again, your local dealer is the place you want to go.
