transmission malfuction

i left my lights on last night and today tried to start it and it barely had some juice to crank and finally started, but then the light came on for the transmission malfuction and now the handle is stuck in park position , any idea?

Look around the area of the shifter. There may be a small slot that you can stick your key into to release the shift lock.

thanx mike, i found out the low amp battery will cause that, charged the battery and became normal
