Has anybody had problems with excessive oil consumption in the 2009 Subaru Forester?
A quart between oil changes is really quite good for a Subaru, if you do a little research you will find a lot of them have higher oil consumption rates. The limit for oil consumption is a quart in 600 miles, so you are nowhere near that reading.
You have no reason to be concerned.
Morgan, you can find a lot of good information on www.subaruforester.org. You may/may not have to register to see it. It's a great site with many good people. Here's a thread for you but I know there are several more, just check out the search feature for oil consumption (or related words): http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f155/consumer-reports-weighs- oil-consumption-494017/
How far apart are your oil changes? A quart in 3,000 miles is not bad. If you are going longer then you have no worries.
