I want to put a manual transmission in my automatic 2009 mitsubishi galant

Asked by Jul 11, 2015 at 03:23 PM about the 2009 Mitsubishi Galant ES

Question type: Car Customization

I think it would be a lot of fun to own a
manual galant but I'm not sure how to go
about getting the swap. Can anyone
recommend what transmission and give a
list of parts needed?

I could get a fast car if I wanted to. I am just trying to have fun and make a sleeper car out of it. I know it's a terrible idea but I've never seen a nodded galant and think it might be fun.

You can certainly do what you want. I'm just wondering WHY someone would dump a bunch of $$ into such a boring ass car. When and IF you try to sell that car, you won't get your return on investment back because Mitsubishi will likely be extinct in a couple or few years. IF we were talking about an Eclipse or Lancer Evo, I might say "yeah, go for it", but NOT this car.
