They are a part of the wheel bearings or hubs. Take a look at this article - > http://www.brakeandfrontend.com/issue/article.aspx?contentid=38809 -- You can also search for "Subject 05068C Front wheel sensor" -- it will lead to a JustAnswer site PDF that had diagrams of the sensor in earlier GMC's. Not everything may apply to your 2008 but it covers the general location and wiring harness.

I have a 2001 GMC 1500. Sometimes when applying brakes,my brakes pulses,all the way to the foor and doesn't want to stop me. No lights are on. And no code are coming up. Have new brakes. 2 answers
Truck is in very good shape. Only 75000 miles. Could it be the master cylinder? Only done this 5 times. But peddle go,s all the way to floor. In about 3 pulse.
