Toyota Camry Dash Light and Ignition have no current

Asked by Aug 30, 2014 at 10:01 PM about the 2009 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was installing the remote starter for my 2009 Camry LE 4 cyl. Automatic. I accidentally
touched the 12v constant to the ground and then it sparked, now the dash light and
ignition have no current, but the headlights, radio, and the power windows are still working.
I checked the fuses under the dash and hood and they are fine. What is wrong and how
can I fix this issue?

I would double check the mains out under the hood, use an ohm meter to test each one, remove test reinstall if good, replace if open. Also check the battery positive cable make sure they didn't sneek in fuselinks there.
