I'm debating on buying a 2008 bmw 328i, it contains 153,000 miles. It is only $6,500 but needs lots of fixing. Is it worth it?

Question type: General

I would need to fix the valve cover & basket, oil pan gasket, rear main seat, both control arms, rotors, timing belt, and all tires. Is it worth buying and and how much longer would it last?

I would buy a lower mile car even if you have to pay more. You are looking at many thousand dollars in repairs for this dog.

BMW's are cool but not when they are dead in your driveway. Buy a good car like a Toyota.

I would consider another brand such as Honda or Toyota. I am guessing you can not afford to own a used BMW.

I own a 2008 BMW 328i rear-wheel-drive sedan with 125,208 miles on it. I bought the car for $2,750. Good tires, needs a new valve cover gasket and a couple of sensors that can be cleaned and reinstalled. It averages 11-12 miles per gallon of gas at an average speed of 26.7 miles per hour. If I were you, I would look for a different car or negotiate the price. That's what the car is worth in pristine condition.
