Do they just come on for a few seconds as you are starting it?

They usually light up on start up to let you know the system is functioning properly.

No they stay on and once my dash went black,no gauges and went into limp home mode

You will need to read the codes to find out what is going on with it. You can either buy a code reader or go to autozone and they will read the codes for free.

Ditto what Michael said.

I have a snapon code reader but there are no codes

Can it be a relay going bad?

And now my emergency brake warning light on the dash comes on,tried unhooking battery but lights still come on .

Same issue here. Any thoughts ?
