It's my understanding that the windshield wiper fluid reservoir in the engine compartment supplies the fluid for front AND rear wipers. That's exactly how it works on my GF's 2009 Nissan Rogue and on all other SUV's and hatchbacks w/rear wipers that I've ever driven.
