Should I purchase an extended warranty on my 2008 mini s turbo with only 11K miles on it?
The dealer is obviously making a hard sell on me saying low miles and sitting around over
the years makes it worthwhile, any thoughts?
No, you have the factory warranty to cover you. If something does go wrong after the fact, you fix it or sell the car. Why pay for repair cost up front especially if you don't use them? I know a car salesmen and extended warranty's are instant money in the salesmen/dealerships wallet. That's why they want it.
I bought my 2005 mini cooper s convertible in 2010 with 23k miles. I sold it 3 months ago with 55k miles. Only had minor issues with it (a wheel sensor needed to be changed ( $250 ) and regular maintenance. I don't think it's worth your money to purchase an extended warranty.
