08 Ranger driver side power window switch will only work when the door is open. Any ideas?

Broken wiring in the tunnel from the door to the body, eventually it will quit altogether, you will have to replace them one wire at a time solder and shrink wrap the joints on both ends, don't do what a lot of people do and that is just repair the break in the tunnel, that causes more stress on the existing wires and they break again, you need to replace the whole section of wiring through the tunnel.
