2008 ford f 150 makes a whistling noise when it's cold out .if I accelerate noise goes away till I let off gas then it comes back.
Start the car when cold, open the hood and check the front of your engine where the drive belt is. One of your pulley or accessory bearings, and or tensioner is probably making the noise.
thanks ill look at it and post result
a whistleing sound sounds more like something with your intake alot of aftermarket intakes are more noisey than factory, maybe a hose isnt on properly or some vaccum line has a crack something to that effect. It could be a pulley but all the ones ive seen go bad make a high pitch whinning noise and it doesnt go away beacuse the pulley is always spinning with the motor is running.
