I just replaced the battery in my Mercedes C300. The car still won't start. Lights work but thats it. Any suggestions?

Recently I read regarding this issue,The resolution given was: after the battery was replaced you have to reset the switches. There is a process to reset the switches. Please browse it in Youtube or take it to a local mechanic. They will do that. or Browse in web how to reset the switches.
