Car will not turn over

Asked by Jul 12, 2017 at 10:26 AM about the 2008 Chrysler 300 C

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It's a 2008 Chrysler 300 v6.  The car has been
running fine. Got in it this morning started it up
fine.  Came to work ran ok.  Got in it to go to lunch
and it was dead.  Had power but it would not even
try to turn over.  Starter would not even click. Turn
the key to start.  Have lights but nothing. Checked
all the fuses they are good. Checked the battery
and my  battery checker says it is ok. I have the
type you can put it under a load to see if it is good
or bad. I even took it out of gear and rocked it. Put
it back in gear and nothing.   I try to do all the work
myself on my cars but I am at a loss hear. Any
body out there have any ideas.

You have a short to ground in the ignition system. Finding it will require some diagnostic work if your handy with a multimeter. I would look at the battery cables first.
