Battery light

I have a Chrysler 300 c 5.7 when I accelerate
to pass a car  I mean really step on it the
battery light comes on it goes off when I
turned off the engine and restart it and
doesn't come back on unless I get down on
it again what could be the cause?

Did you ever figure this out? My 07 jeep srt8 is doing the same thing. ??? Cant figure it out. ???
