How is this possible?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I pulled the motor out changed the rod and main
bearings. Put the motor back together and put it
back in the car. Now it won't establish a link with
the ecm and has no spark and the fuel pump won't
cycle

Since the wiring consists of 4 plugs and 2 ground wires it would be difficult to screw up. However I have checked and rechecked my work

Hardly. There are all sorts of sensors like the crank sensor that are critical to it running.

I didn't unplug any of the wiring on the engine itself no reason to. Other then the crank sensor which is in the timing cover. You clearly either have very little knowledge of Toyota's or are simply trying to be irritating and not helpful. As I said I have checked over the wiring with a fine tooth comb. Even the wiring that didn't need removed. This isn't my first rodeo. I am of the belief that it's got to be a simple fix and since I've seen this exact issue on many forums. With matrix's, camry's, and Pontiac vibe's of similar years. Someone has the answer. Till then I will keep checking and re checking what I already know. Thank you for your opinion.

Since you did everything correctly the engine must be running. Logic.
