I have an '02 and you come at it from the trunk. Best is to look it up through google. And someone probably made a Youtube video out of it too. No lie. I installed the power door locks in my car watching a Youtube video about it...

I just did it and it is a real pain. You have to remove the trim around the back seats to be able to lift up the trim to the back decklid. The speakers are under there. Getting it back together was harder than taking it apart, I think I broke 10 different plastic things!

You can really do it by yourself but eventually it will take time for you to do that because I guess your new with the functions. I had tried changing my corolla speaker as well but it took me how many hours to perfectly put the new one and even asked assistance to my friend because it's really difficult to do! Better get the stuff to the expert for a reliable support.
