The battery in my 2008 XC-90 (bought the car 10 months ago)has the Volvo brand name on it. Is it original or does volvo sell batteries after-market? may have been bought originally in europe.
While it's unusual for a car battery to last 9 years. It's not unheard of. Look for a date code sticker on the battery. It may be an alpha numeric code such as C8 for example which translates to March of 2008. I had an AC-Delco battery last 10 years once. I replaced it for peace of mind. It was still working fine but I figured it's days were numbered. HTH. -Jim
