Where is the tension bolt located
I have a 08 Mitsubishi endeavor and I was
replacing the alternator and i can't find the
tension bolt to release the tension on the
belt does anyone no where's it located and
what it looks like I assumed it was like other
cars that u just need a ratchet to release the
tension but it's not unfortunately
Sometimes there is just a spring loaded idler wheel.
Right, I'm not sure on your Endeavor, but it should be on or near the belt tensioner. Sometimes there is a nut, sometimes a square hole to put a socket wrench. Then other times you might have to remove the front cover off the pulley to access a bolt to rotate it.
