Why does my 2008 Limited Edition Ford Edge has power loss at low rpm?

Can be any number of things, can you describe in more detail when it started happening and if you have any dash lights on or made any changes?

This has been occurring since I bought the vehicle used @ 44,000 miles! It doesn't happen all of the time. I had it into the dealership three times and they said they could not find any issues. Approximately 10,000 miles ago there was a check engine warning light come on and the dealership replaced the cannister vent solenoid and the purge valve I believe. Just this past Sunday after eating at a restaurant we left the parking lot and the vehicle REALLY started chugging and lost MAJOR power! I pulled it over and shut it off! I started it again and it ran fine until just yesterday when I put the lower grade 87 BP octane gas in the tank it began the cutting out again at the lower RPM! Coulsd it be the starter cable corroded or not tightened as I have been reading about on a couple of other VERY similar issues withe FORD EDGE??
