Have a 08 Malibu LTZ and the brake lights are sticking and go off when brake is applied. Replaced the pedal switch on the off chance it was bad. Now the "Service ESC" light comes on. Anything?

This has nothing to do with what you repaired, just may be coincidence. http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion- t37841_ds614438

I didn't know if a sensor was bad or a brake module could be faulty. All I know is that the lights still stay on and the car will feel like its working harder and the ESC warning is displayed.
