I own a 2008 Jeep Liberty and the heater works but will not blow the air to the feet.
I own a 2008 Jeep Liberty and the heater works but will not blow the air to the feet nor
to the back on the floor. From what my repair guy said he could see the gears are not
stripped but they are not touching each other to be able to switch the heat to the floor. I
was told that the whole dash had to be taken out to fix this issue as it is right behind
the drivers side. is this true? I am told it will take 9 hours to pull out and then replace
it.....Is there any type of recall for this issue. This fix will be at least 1,000-1,300.
okay,,,,it's about 16 bucks~ https://www.google.com/#q=2008+Jeep+Liberty+Limited++heater+control+fl aps&tbm=shop&spd=13249144227018936879
what are they $90/hour? go to a shop that isn't afraid....an Hispanic shop will not rip you off~
Their labor rate is only $68 an hour but with 9 hours to take out and put back in the dash that's still $612.00. Is there any other way to fix this without taking the whole dash out?
I just tried your link and the picture doesn't come up to that link....
Sorry Judge Roy...I found the pic with the part number...thanks.
Sorry about that one...the math teacher keeps clearing his throat...gets in there with the saw for a groovy-blind repair...dammit, there has to be a non- hillbilly repair available~
keepin' up the fight~
the glovebox has three pins what hold it in~
why would they make "easy-break oven" controls that zoom into the stop and break the stop....where are we getting these fully educated purveyors of material strength and degradation over time studies?...guess they were off drinkin' a beer and buyin' a HERO sandwich on the boulevard~ so much for your research and development overpaid loons~
...and how long have we had HEATER controls?....since the dawn of time...some one needs to be taken across my knee and spanked with a belt because of this~!
I couldn't find the part either mine is doing the same thing. Can someone help me find the part name or number thanks
