I have a 2008 pontiac G6 with 69000 miles. Sputtering/ shaking at a stop
this problem happens rare. Every once in awhile it will sputter or shake at a stop and
act like it wants to die. I have new battery and spark plugs, and my alternator and fuel
pump are good. Also after a stop it will have a rough time accelerating and acts like it
wants to die. I am at a loss. No lights show up, and it happens rarely, but is kind of
scaring me. The dealers say that they cant do anything unless I bring it in when it is
doing it which is maybe once every 3 weeks. I've noticed it more when my fuel is
getting low, but is now happening with a full tank. Any thoughts?
You say your fuel pump is good, what was the pressure and was there any air in the flow test? On the other hand it could be dirty injectors, when was the last injector clean performed?
I'm not sure about that. They just did a test on it and nothing was wrong with the fuel pump, and I just got the car I am not sure when they were last cleaned. Could that really be causing this random shaking/sputtering feeling at a stop?
Check intake and vacuum lines for air leaks.
